TLSN was notified via email from 22 of Danny Bearden’s teammates that Danny passed away on May 29, 2017 in Burleson, Texas. It is apparent from the emails that Danny's positive impact on their lives resulted in a special bond and many special memories.
Danny was born March 27, 1953, in Gladewater, Texas, to his parents, Gleason “Hez” Bearden and Yvonne Lee. He played football for Alice, Texas, where he received a football scholarship to UT to play for the Texas Longhorns. Danny married Marsha Weidman on Sept. 1, 1978. The Bearden’s then moved to Burleson, Texas, where Danny worked in the belting industry for over 31 years. He started working for Forbo Siegling LLC on Dec. 28, 1998.
Spending time with his family, friends and, of course, his dog, Remy, were Danny’s major loves. He enjoyed playing a good game of golf and hunting. Danny also loved starting new projects at home, even though he hadn’t finished the one before.
Survivors include his loving wife, Marsha Bearden; son, Ryan Bearden, of Burleson; his father, Gleason “Hez” Bearden; stepmother, Bonnie Bearden; mother; Yvonne Lee; his sister, Anita Fulton, of Dickinson, Texas; brothers, Troy and Billy Bearden, of Gladewater, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
