Semi-Finals In Postseason And Highest Ranking (3) In Texas Tennis History. 

The University of Texas seniors Callum Beale, Travis Helgeson, and freshman Miguel Reyes Varela officially earned All-America status from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

Callum Beale and Miguel Reyes-Varela are ranked 8th nationally in doubles. 

Travis Helgeson is ranked 7th in the nation in singles.


2007  20-9  COACH MICHAEL CENTER qualifies for round 16 of postseason with a #12 ranking

Four freshmen join the team.  The team made the ITA National Team Indoor Championship  with a  #13 ranking.


Dimitar Kutrovsky and Josh Zavala are the Big 12 doubles champions




2008  25-6   COACH MICHAEL CENTER

Men’s tennis was ranked in the top 5 in the nation.  It was Coach Center’s 17th year as head coach.

Runner Up To Georgia For NCAA- Highest finish ever in a NCAA National Championship tournament.

Ricardo is 2008 ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year and he is three-time ITA South Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year (2002, 2006, 2008)

2009  23-7  COACH MICHAEL CENTER

The team ended the season as one of the top five in the nation.

Baylor edges out a very good Texas team in big 12 play . Horns made it all the way to the semi-finals in NCAA play before losing to USC. Kellen Damico led the team winning 12 decisions.

It is Michael Center’s 9th year as coach.  Texas finished second to Baylor in the Big 12. The horns lose to USC in the NCAA semifinals.  Kellen Damico finished the season with 12 wins.

 

The team is ranked 9th and makes the final 4 for the 3rd time in Longhorn Tennis history.

Ditimar Kutrovsky ITA 2008,09,10

Dimitar Kutrvsky becomes Texas all-time winningest player with 230 victories. He is one of only three Longhorns to finish in the top 10 in singles and doubles. He is ranked 8th Nationally in 2010.

Team is ranked 9th and makes the round of 16

 

SΓΈren Hess-Olesen is one of six players in the nation to finish top-15 in both the singles  and doubles  polls. He is the 6th Longhorn to finish in the top 10 in singles . He is the ITA Senior Player of the Year and ranked 6th in the nation in 2015.
