Clarissa Davis, Barcelona 1992 1 Bronze

A two-time All-American for Texas, Davis was the recipient of the Naismith Trophy in 1987 and 1989, recognizing her as the National Player of the Year. In her senior season of 1989, she also claimed the Wade Trophy and the USBWA's National Player of the Year Award. Davis was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006 and was a member inaugural women's class of the UT Athletics Hall of Honor in 2000.

Davis is one of only three players in program history to eclipse the 2,000-point plateau and ranks third in program history with 2,008 career points. Davis, who played in 101 games, is the school's all-time career leader in scoring average at 19.9 points per game for her career. Her 8.7 rebounds per game rank fourth in school history and her career field-goal percentage of 57.5 is fifth all-time.

Davis boasts three of the top-seven scoring games in program history, including a career-high 45 points at Tennessee on Dec. 9, 1987 and a pair of 38-point scoring efforts. She holds school records with 13 career 30-plus-point games and 25 career 20-plus-point games.

Davis received recognition from the NCAA and Southwest Conference Team of the Decade for the 1980s and was the Most Valuable Player of the SWC team.

Kamie Ethridge, Seoul 1988 1 Gold.

In her four years (1981-82 through 1985-86) at the University of Texas, Ethridge tallied a 131-37 career record in college. She was MVP in the 1986 NCAA National Championship game, which Texas won to finish the 1985-86 season with a 34-0 record to become the first undefeated NCAA Division I women’s team in history. She played in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in all four seasons and the Elite Eight twice. She was a two-time WBCA All-American (1985 and 1986) and was the 1986 Wade Trophy, Frances Pomeroy Naismith and Honda-Broderick Cup Award winner.

Lloyd won gold at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, Korea, as a member of the USA women's basketball team.

Four-year starter at the University of Texas; led the Longhorns to the No. 1 ranking in the final women’s basketball poll each year, with an overall career record of 125-8, winning the National Championship in 1986 and becoming the first team to ever finish a season undefeated (34-0) that year

Fortner received a dual-sport scholarship at Texas, where she played both basketball and volleyball from 1978-82. She helped lead UT to 127 basketball wins in four seasons and remains one of the Longhorns’ all-time leading scorers with 1,466 career points. In volleyball, she was a member of Texas’ national championship team as a senior in 1981.

On the basketball court, she led Texas to its first-ever national ranking in women’s basketball and a 7th-place finish at the AIAW national championship tournament. She also represented the United States internationally in basketball.

Fortner has established a professional reputation in the game of basketball. She started her coaching career at Killeen High School the year after she graduated from Texas, and eventually would become the head coach at Purdue, for the Indiana Fever in the WNBA, with Auburn University, and for USA Basketball. She led Purdue to a Big Ten title in 1997 and Auburn to an SEC title in 2009.

She has worked as an analyst for ESPN, and has also been inducted into the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame (2013) and the University of Texas Women’s Athletics Hall of Honor (2001).
